Spyderco Salt I Black - Plain Blade

Spyderco

Blade Type

The new Salt 1 Lightweight has been given a black Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) coating to both the blade and lockbar to greatly reduce glare in volatile environments. Produced from H-1 stainless steel, the plain edge blade is immune to rust.

The handle is made from textured FRN (fiberglass-reinforced-nylon) and has a back lock design with Boye detent to reduce accidental closure of the blade. The clip is made from coated titanium and is fully reversible for true left or right handed use.

About the Salt Series

Although originally developed for people who work in or around a salt water environment, the Salt knives from Spyderco also lend themselves well to users whose line of work may cause them to sweat. Composed of H-1 super stainless steel, these knives are 100% rust proof, while still maintaining their ability to hold a decent edge. We've seen tests where users leave these knives in some of the harshest conditions imaginable, and each time the blade comes back looking almost brand new.
