SUNIX SER6437A 2-Port RS-232 PCI Express Serial Card

The SUNIX SER6437A is a 2-port RS-232 serial card that adds two independent DB9 COM ports to any PC with a spare PCI Express slot. Most modern motherboards ship with one serial port or none at all, so this card is a simple way to keep PLCs, HMIs, barcode scanners, scales, modems and other legacy serial devices talking to a new PC or industrial computer.

Built around SUNIX's own SUN2212 PuLao native PCIe UART controller, the card has a 128-byte hardware FIFO and on-chip automatic hardware flow control to prevent data loss. It meets PCI Express Base Specification 2.0 and, as an x1 card, fits x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slots. Every serial signal carries ±15 kV ESD protection to IEC 61000-4-2, and I/O address and IRQ are assigned automatically by the BIOS for true plug-and-play installation.

Driver support is broad: WHQL-certified drivers for Windows XP through Windows 11 and Windows Server 2003 through 2022, plus Linux kernel 2.x to 6.x and DOS.
